It started in a plant room.

Before OpsSense existed, we spent years around the places that keep this region running. Compounds in Riyadh, factories on the coast, hotels, hospitals, district cooling plants. Different industries, same scene: a chiller worth more than a house, maintained through a clipboard on a hook and a WhatsApp group with nine hundred unread messages.

The moment that finally did it was ordinary, which is exactly the point. A compound chiller failed on a July afternoon. The operations team found out the way they always found out, from resident complaints. The vibration that predicted the failure had been there for three weeks. The sensors were installed and reporting. Nothing was listening to them.

Everyone in the room knew the software that was supposed to fix this. Aging CMMS suites that need a consultant to add a field. Mobile apps that stop at a checklist. Vendors who sell you more hardware when the hardware was never the problem. The data was already there. The intelligence was missing.

So in April 2026, we started OpsSense.

We incorporated in Riyadh, not as a sales office but as headquarters, and built engineering in Lahore, two cities with deep operational talent that the industry mostly overlooks. The name says the thesis: operations, with senses. A platform that does not just record what happened, but notices what is about to.

We made two decisions early that still define the company. First: sell intelligence, not hardware. We integrate with any sensor and any system you already run, whatever the brand, whatever the protocol, and we turn their signals into predictions, decisions, and action. Second: open by design. Your data is yours, your existing SAP and SCADA investments keep working, and leaving us should be easy. That keeps us honest.

Months later, the platform runs work orders from WhatsApp message to closed with photo, signals stream in from whatever sensors our customers already own, and nine AI agents watch, predict, and act under governance a plant director can sign off on. We are a young company with an old fashioned belief: the people who keep the physical world running deserve tools as serious as their work.
